Testing Principle
Test specimen is mounted in a test cup. A specific humidity difference is created between the two sides of the test specimen at a specific temperature.

The water vapour permeates through the specimen from the inner, more humid side to the drier side. By measuring the weight change of the cup due to the permeation of the water vapour out of the cup, the rate of transmission is determined.
