Vapometer
A simple testing instrument for determining the water vapour transmission rate through sheet materials using the first principle gravimetric method. A wide selection of cup depths available. Also a choice between wax sealed and mechanical cup closure system.
Vapometers determine the water vapour permeability of sheet materials such as speciality paper grades, polyethylene, vinyl, foil and laminates.
Model 68-1 mechanical seal
Model 68-1 consists of an aluminium container with a flanged rim and a second rim that holds the sample against the cup and edge of the rim. Freedom from wax sealing enables rapid testing.
The cups have a 63.5 mm diameter and are available in different heights from 12.7 to 50.8 mm.
Model 305 water vapour permeability test dishes
There are some materials that do not respond to the vapometer type of seal and where a wax seal must be used. Model 305 uses a cast wax seal to hold the sample in place.
The wax seal is created with wax casting templates and dies. Test dishes are available with a diameter range of 50.8 to 152.4 mm and a depth of 6.35 to 38.1 mm.
