Tissue Burst Tester

A dedicated instrument based on the EJA Tensile Tester for testing both the dry and wet bursting strength of tissue paper and paper towelling. With a very sensitive loadcell measuring system, it is specifically designed for testing tissue, non-wovens and other lightweight sheets. Complies with new CEN Tissue Bursting Strength Standard.

Tissue Burst Tester

The Tissue Burst Tester is a precision PC-controlled instrument for measuring the wet and dry burst strength properties of tissue paper sand tissue products, paper towels, non-wovens and other substrates.

It is easy to use and can measure:

  • Dry burst strength – useful for determining the strength required to avoid breaks or tears during manufacturing or converting.
  • Wet burst strength – a critical property for all tissue products subjected to water-based liquids during normal use.

Integral Simplicity Materials Testing Software enables test parameters to be readily set and test results to be printed and stored on a PC. Standard results include burst strength, burst displacement, burst energy, total burst energy, burst index and statistics.
