Testing Principle
Mount the pre-conditioned specimen between the upper and lower cells and clamp tightly. Oxygen, or air, flows through one side of the specimen (upper cell), high pure nitrogen flows through another side of the specimen (lower cell). Oxygen molecules pass through the specimen and enter the high pure nitrogen side, and are carried to the sensor.

The OX2-230 calculates the oxygen transmission rate by analysing the oxygen detected by the sensor.

For package testing, high pure nitrogen flows through the package and the air or pure oxygen flows around the outer side of the package.
