IGT Flexo & Gravure Proofer
The label on a package is vitally important in brand recognition by customers and consumers, with good print quality and correct corporate colours reassuring and reaffirming about the quality of the product inside.
Many printers use internationally respected IGT ink proofing systems, such as the C1 Offset Proofer, F1 Flexo & Gravure Proofer to check for ink / substrate compatibility, together with a spectrodensitometer to colour match.
The labelling process is often brutal on fast lines, so checking label stiffness, adhesion, slip and friction parameters and scuff resistance is essential for trouble free running and a good final result. We have an extensive range of instruments for all of these properties.
Labelling on glass can be difficult and particularly when the surface free energy down the length of the container is not consistent. Our unique PG-X Pocketgoniometer can test these parameters by placing the instrument directly onto the substrate – particularly helpful for curved surfaces.
